Hi, good to meet you!
I founded Mind Body Nature after experiencing first hand the benefits of nature connection for work related stress, anxiety and burn out.
I have a background in professional services, building relationships and delivering on international client engagements, also working on bids, training and internal projects.
I grew up in the countryside and have always felt that the outdoors is my natural habitat. When I moved into the woods in 2014 I started foraging rather than just walking in nature with my thoughts elsewhere. I found the focus on what was present in that moment had a profound rebalancing effect on my wellbeing, which also flowed into other areas of my life. This was my first foray into mindfulness in nature and the many benefits it can bring.
Like so many of us in early 2020, work was busier and more demanding than ever, and with home schooling on top, time for foraging was limited. At a point of crisis, a Forest Bathing session with a trained guide opened up a new and deeper relationship with nature than I knew was possible and gave me a toolkit to feel well again. Taking mindful 'nature breaks' became a lifeline and got me through a very difficult time.
Eventually something had to give. So I made a huge decision to change path. I left behind a 'dream job' with prospects at a big four firm, professional legal qualifications which I had worked hard for alongside a full time career and raising a family, and a team of amazing people.
I trained with The Forest Bathing Institute for a year to teach mindfulness, meditation and forest bathing, graduating with commendation and a thirst to share the benefits of nature connection and forest bathing with others. Fully insured, I am also a mental health first aider and remote outdoor first aider.
I run sessions for teams and also ticketed sessions for the general public.
Every workshop I lead reaffirms that I made the right choice. Watching the transformation in participants and receiving feedback on the lasting effects is fantastically rewarding.
Now it's up to you. I hope to meet you soon.
